Pine Mountain Jump
A staple in our hometown! Every year, the Continental Cup is hosted by the Kiwanis Ski Club and athletes from all over the world come to compete. We used to climb the jump back when it was wooden and it would sway in the wind-- check out the amazing view and updates made since then!
Piers Gorge Scenic Hiking Trail - Menominee River State Recreation Area
This is an all time favorite! Nick and Ada would walk here for dates all year round where they could watch the white water rafters, nature, and overall beauty of the Menominee River.
Millie Hill Bat Viewing
The newlyweds would walk the trails of Millie Hill as teenagers and have sunset picnics on the overlook! The mine shaft is home to around a million bats-- one of the largest bat colonies in the world!
Timber Stone Golf Course
Located in Iron Mountain just beyond the Ski Jump and Pine Mountain. Voted the 6th best golf course in the U.P.!
Oak Crest Golf Course
This is where Ada and her siblings worked during the summers! Great course and great people!
Badwater Ski-ters Waterski Show Team
Ski-Ters is an award winning ski show that is great for all ages!
Cornish Pump and Mining Museum
This museum is richly filled with history from the place where Nicholas and Ada grew up! If you're curious about why people would settle in Iron Mountain, the middle of nowhere, here is your answer! The bride loves local history and this is one of her favorites!
Iron Mountain Iron Mine
This is a staple in our area! The Norway/Vulcan mine is a great way to beat the heat and see what is was like as an iron ore miner in the early days of town. Located 9 miles east of Iron Mountain-- not too far from the Norway High School. Fun fact: Ada's great-grandfather was an iron ore miner in Bessemer, MI!
Norway Speedway
Located in Norway, MI, this race track is a staple of the community and fun on Friday nights! Races will be cancelled due to rainy conditions.
Wildman Whitewater Rafting
This one is for all of the adrenaline chasers! This whitewater rafting guide is closely located to Nicholas's childhood home and something that we would watch while walking Piers Gorge.
Fumee Lake Trail Head
We love to walk Fumee Lake and enjoy the trails! There are two entrances-- one located in Iron Mountain and in Norway.
51st State Brewing Company
Brewery, Pizza, and bagels! This brewery is named after the longstanding debate between Yoopers and Washington, D.C. of whether or not the Upper Peninsula should be the newest state in the United States. Check out the local favorite, Batty Millie Blueberry Beer!
