We met in 9th grade, learning Romeo and Juliet (he was Romeo, I was Romeo's cousin), two hours apart from each other in an online class. The teacher's main rule was no dating within the class. We didn't think that would be a very hard rule to follow until we started talking after adding each other on Facebook. A few years and mall meets later, and here we are!

It was meant to be a birthday surprise, but Nick saw the perfect moment and took it. I had just come home from work, still in my work clothes and smelling of pizza when he announced I was getting an early birthday present. He handed me an envelope with a clue in it, that led to another clue, etc. Eventually I ended up in the living room in front of family, unwrapping my ring. He asked, I said yes, and cried for about an hour afterwards, but it was full of nothing but love and happiness!
