We met as teenagers at Massey High School — young, naive, and convinced we knew everything about the world. In truth, we knew very little, especially about love. Yet somehow, in the midst of awkward smiles, shy glances and endless messages back and forth on Bebo, something special began to grow. From the start, there was a sense of safety between us, of being fully seen and accepted. Junior quickly became someone Nichola could trust completely, someone who made her feel at home in herself. And in Nichola, Junior saw a spark — someone who challenged him, made him laugh, a true companion. We grew up together, in every sense. Over the years, we’ve navigated life’s inevitable highs and lows — the changes, the uncertainties, the successes and losses. But through it all, our relationship has remained strong because we chose to never give up on each other. Our love certainly wasn’t built in grand gestures, but in the quiet, steady moments; the late-night talks, the shared dreams, the simple pleasure of being side by side through it all. More than fifteen years later, we still find something new to love in each other. We’re ready and so grateful to embark on this new journey as husband and wife.
