We're getting married!

Marcus and Nichelle's love story began in a place of faith and friendship—at church, where they were introduced through a mutual friend who felt we might be a good match. After a month of praying and reflecting, this friend reached out to both of them separately to see if they’d be interested in getting to know each other. At the time, Nichelle didn’t actually know Marcus, but they exchanged photos and, after a few days of texting, decided to take the next step and go on their first date. From the start, she was struck by Marcus’s calming presence, his intelligence, and his passion for the Lord and music. His easygoing nature made her feel at ease, and she could tell right away that he was someone special. Marcus later told her that he was drawn to her openness, kindness, and how easy she made conversation feel. They instantly clicked, and the connection they felt on that first date made it clear to both of them that something real was beginning to form. One of the most memorable moments of their early relationship happened when they took a trip to Minneapolis for the wedding of one of Marcus’s friends. It was there Nichelle discovered that Marcus was not just a great conversationalist, but also had some serious rhythm on the dance floor! It was a delightful surprise, and from that moment on, she knew she wanted to dance with him forever. Though their first meeting wasn't entirely organic, the first date on May 26th, 2024, felt like it had been meant to be all along. They spent the entire day together because they simply enjoyed each other’s company so much. The spark was undeniable, and as they spent more time together, the bond of friendship deepened to love. And the rest, as they say, is history.
