I was browsing tinder, yes tinder. No one likes to admit that they met on a dating website, let alone one with such a negative connotation. However, this story has an interesting twist. I need to throw in that, at the time, I was living with a friend of mine, Chad Lewin. He is a realtor and ran his own team of three people. Back to the tinder swiping. I saw Daniel's profile and swiped right. He was suuuper attractive and upon reading his profile I saw he was a realtor. Luckily, Daniel had swiped right on my profile as well. SCORE! We started messaging back and fourth almost immediately. After we chatted for a few hours I decided to ask if he knew my roommate. If you are familiar with Santa Clarita then you know that being a realtor in this area is very common. Daniel responded by saying, "Yes, I know him very well actually." I then told him Chad was my roommate. This is when I found out that not only did Daniel know Chad, he was part of Chad's team! In such a large community where everyone is a realtor what are the odds that this guy I had just started messaging worked for my roommate?! Knowing that he worked for my roommate made us both a bit apprehensive. We both didn't know how Chad would react because mixing work with pleasure could make things uncomfortable. We both agreed it could be an issue but still decided to keep talking, we just didn't tell Chad. After staying up and talking until about three o'clock a.m. we said goodnight. The very next day while I was at work I received a text from Chad asking what I was doing later that night. He wanted me to go to a wine tasting room and wanted me to meet a "guy on his team." I messaged Daniel immediately to find out if was him and it was! We met later that night and have spent almost everyday together since then. Chad will find out upon reading this story that we had actually talked before he introduced us. Sorry, Chad, lol. Thank you for being part of the reason we met in person.
