We met in high school while we were both in a musical and became instant friends! We remained friends throughout school but then devastatingly drifted apart when we went to college. Miraculously, a mutual friend invited us both to a birthday party, and it was then that we instantly bonded and grew close once again. We spent that following year getting to know each other, bonding and flirting until Nic asked me on our first date to Cedar Springs Brewing Co. We walked downtown Cedar Springs, and it was there that he held my hand and put his arm around me for the first time!

Nic and I went on a hike in Grand Haven, and it was there overlooking Lake Michigan that he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend! I, of course, said yes, and then we shared our first kiss :) He was sweating buckets; it was so sweet!

Nic brought me back to where we had our first date in Cedar Springs! He took me on a short walk and lead us to where he first put his arm around me, across the street from the Cedar Springs Brewing Company. He got my sister Brittany to take pictures of the proposal and we celebrated at Amore! It was a night to remeber!
