So many options. The best waves are a short drive and boat ride away in Punta Mita and there are plenty of softer options to the south where you can walk down a path and post up on a killer white sand beach. WildMex Surf Shop, at the Burros trailhead, actually has some great rental boards.
Walk to Playa De Los Muertos Sayulita Beach

Take a short walk south from Sayulita’s main beach, past the Villa Amor Hotel, through the graveyard of above ground, beautifully decorated memorials to Sayulita’s “other” beach.
