We're getting married!

We met at a bonfire and shared mutual friends. I had told one of our friends that I thought Nic was cute, and I wanted to get to know him more. Our friend was super excited and proceeded to set us up. Eventually, we started talking regularly and going on dates, and the rest is history(:

Every Father's Day weekend, we head up to Cliff Lake for fishing and well-needed relaxation with the family. Nic and I had just bought a fishing boat and were eager to get it on the water. About 15 minutes on the lake, Nic had recommended having some lunch on one of the islands. At first, I was hesitant because we just ate and I wanted to keep fishing, but I said yes anyways. We pulled the boat onto the bank, took out our lawn chairs and sandwiches, and started enjoying some lunch. Suddenly Nic pulls out a ring from his tackle bag and I immediately start crying! I really don't think a whole lot of words were exchanged because we were both sobbing, but I do remember saying yes and both of us exchanging many I love you's! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
