Balboa Park
There is so much to do/explore here! From museums, to gardens, to the famous San Diego Zoo, there is truly something for everyone to check out.
Old Town San Diego
Old Town San Diego is the site of the first settlement in California. In addition to some great history lessons, there are tons of Mexican food options. Cafe Coyote and Old Town Mexican Cafe are pretty stellar, and both offer fresh tortillas made on site - highly recommend!
Hodad's
A classic California burger joint (and Larson family favorite!) located in San Diego's unique Ocean Beach. A milkshake is a must, and you can walk off the calories by heading to the beach from there and walking the OB Pier.
Pannikin La Jolla
The bride and groom might be slightly coffee-obsessed, and this low-key cafe is one of our faves. Fun fact - this is one of the spots where Jack worked remotely on the day he snuck off to San Diego to ask Niamh's parents for their blessing to propose!
Torrey Pines State Beach
The best part of Niamh's high school commute, Torrey Pines is a gorgeous beach with hike options on the overlooking cliffs of Torrey Pines State Preserve. And if you're a golf fan, you'll have to make a stop at the famous Torrey Pines golf course!
Swami's Beach
Named after the founder of the Self-Realization ashram that overlooks it, Swami's is a famous surf spot and beach located located just south of downtown Encinitas - a quaint beach town with tons of great food/nightlife options!
