We're Getting Married! #NiaGotMiked

During the pandemic, on Sunday, August 23, 2020, we met at our favorite grocery store, Wegmans, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Nia went to the grocery store to get some grapes after her run in the park and Michael went to the grocery store to try to find dinner for the week. Nia was searching for the cotton candy grapes then Michael saw Nia in the fruit aisle. Suddenly, both of us were at the self checkout line. At the time, Nia was wearing her niece, Kieara's, Mississippi State Softball shirt and Michael saw the shirt and asked Nia did she go to the college. Of course, Nia said, "No, my niece went to the college and I borrowed her shirt for my run in the park today. I went to George Mason University." Nia asked him where he went to college and he stated "Jackson State in Jackson, Mississippi." He also mentioned he was from Mississippi. We continued to briefly talk and exchanged phone numbers. After our first date, we continued to go on a 1000+ dates then Michael proposed on December 31, 2022 in front of our families. We are excited to get married and we can't wait for everyone to join us!
