Originally, Charles and I met as college band members at Texas Southern University in 2009. We both played the alto saxophone and participated in several other activities together. Due to Charles registering late for band camp, our freshman year in college, I was given the responsibility of teaching him EVERYTHING he missed. This came as a challenge due to my "do it and get it done" attitude, and his relaxed "let's go with the flow" vibe. We both possessed leadership skills. Therefore, we originally bumped heads. However, as time went by, we began to understand each other's views, and became great friends. It was through our friendship genuine love grew; and now five years later we're engaged!
