He lives and works in America. She worked in the Philippines. He wanted to plan his own tour with his family. She wanted to guide her own family on a tour. His family wanted to relax and let a tour group lead them. Her family thinks a tour group would be less planning involved. Their families both departed Vietnam, went on a Singapore tour, where they walked by each other several times, multiple days, and first met at the bayfront deck of the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on August 2013.
