Khmer Wedding Ceremony

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This event is semi-formal but make sure you wear comfortable clothing as there will be a lot of sitting, sometimes on the ground. The temple has an inside and outside portion. Upon entering the temple, it is required that shoes will be removed.

All guests are encouraged to join us at our ceremony! It will be hosted at our local khmer temple which has indoor and outdoor seating. General respect inside the temple: no shoes/hats inside temple, women are not allowed to have physical contact with the monks, women should refrain from wearing short skirts to temple, when an elder is sitting on the floor, a person should bow while walking past as a sign of respect. Alcohol will not be permitted on the temple grounds. This event will have monks chanting and different traditional khmer wedding ceremonies will be performed. There will be catered homecooked khmer food served after chanting and ceremonies.

Reception

5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Formal cocktail attire. The event is an indoor event.

If you wish to wear traditional khmer clothing, that will also be allowed and encouraged :)
