In high school, Jen worked at Lifetime, where Brandon caught her eye. He was undeniably handsome, but they never had a chance to really talk back then. Fast forward to college, where we both found jobs on North Gate. Brandon worked as a bouncer, while Jen was a bartender. They had an unspoken agreement: when Jen visited Brandon’s bar, she was stamped as over 21, and when Brandon visited her, she’d wait for some tip money before serving him drinks (sorry mama). Honestly, that was the extent of their relationship until junior year. One night, Jen was out with her friends, determined to make a move. If Brandon was working the door that night, she planned to plant a kiss on him. The walk from Hurricane Harry's to Basil Whippets was a long one, giving Jen time to really think this plan through. When Jen and her friends finally arrived, she bypassed the line, kissed Brandon, got her stamp, and didn’t talk to him for months afterward. Not exactly a Hollywood moment, but it was our beginning. A few months later, fate intervened. Jen ran into Brandon during a night out, and from then on, the rest was history. She graduated from Texas A&M and moved in with Brandon in The Woodlands. Shortly after we found a house in Cypress Texas, and bought our first home. Life was good, and it was just the beginning—we cannot wait for this next chapter of our lives.
