**His side** - During my senior year, I volunteered to give the incoming freshmen a tour of the school before the year began. Nixsy and I didn’t know each other at the time, but we were grouped together to lead a tour. She was very outgoing, laughing loudly and chatting with her friend while giving the tour. I remember wondering to myself what was so funny and thinking, she is so weird... Later that school year, I walked into my English class and recognized her from the tour. She already had friends in the class, and over time, I became part of their group. After graduation, we kept in touch but didn’t talk much. Then COVID happened, and we started texting again. We eventually decided to meet up and go on walks with her new puppy.
