Reyna and I met in September of 2019 at a karaoke lounge in Sacramento. I didn’t even want to go out because I was tired from traveling from Sac to LA, but my friends pressured me into going. I was sitting there staring at my phone when all of a sudden a group of girls walk into our room. I took a glance and for a quick second, and Reyna was the only person who caught my eye. So I glanced up one more time and tried to play if off by looking at my phone. Immediately, I sat there and thought to myself “Should I talk to her?” then thought “Nah I’m way too tired, I’ll hang out a little longer then leave soon”. One of my roommates at the time worked at the karaoke lounge with Reyna, so I approached my roommate and asked her who her brown Mexican friend was. She replied with, “Wow you know what’s so funny, is that she had asked about you as well.” I told my roommate to invite her into our lounge room, and soon enough, here enters Reyna. I was a little standoff-ish at first because I was shy, but Reyna being Reyna asked me in the most flirtatious way, “So what is your ethnicity?” I replied with “I am Vietnamese and Polish” and she said “Oh wow, that’s exotic. I thought you were like Samoan or something”. As the night went on, one of my friends got extremely drunk and I was bringing him out to the car. Reyna helped me in taking care of my friend and as she pulled her phone out, I knew that was my cue to ask for her number. We went back to our room and I had let her know that I was leaving for the night but she didn’t hear me. I was the Designated Driver for the night and as I was pulling out of the parking spot Reyna came busting out the front door with her hands in the air like “Where are you going?!” I pulled the car back in and got out to speak to her. I told her that I had mentioned earlier I was leaving, it was nice meeting her and that I would text her tomorrow. I went in for a hug and when my arms wrapped around her body, there was this instant feeling of calmness, and security. Never in my life have I ever had this feeling from just hugging someone and in that moment I knew I needed this, that this was the woman I wanted and I was going to make her MY WOMAN.
