Nicole and Brian first matched on Bumble in the summer of 2019. Timing was not their friend and the connection was lost. Fed up with the troubles of online dating, they both deleted Bumble. Fate had other plans though, and they rematched on Hinge in October 2019. Sparks flew and they both knew this was it. They had found their person. 2020 came and with it Covid and changes. When an opportunity for career advancement in Southern California came for Nicole in July, they had a choice. Break up or try long distance. Long distance was tough, Brian traveled down for their 1 year anniversary trip to Joshua Tree NP in November before finally moving to Southern California in January of 2021. Still an hour away, but closer. Taking the plunge, after 2 years of dating Nicole and Brian moved in together in late 2021 (Prudence (Nicole’s senior and very grumpy cat) would like to take this moment to state that she was not consulted on this decision and voice her objections). When someone is with Nicole, they better like to travel. Brian’s first international trip was to London with Nicole for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022. It was followed by a trip to Scotland in January 2023 (rescheduled from 2021, thank you Covid). But the most memorable trip was to Italy in April 2024. It was here, beside the Trevi fountain in the romantic early morning light that Brian proposed (Nicole was so surprised she almost fell into the fountain). The next chapter of their lives will begin on October 12, 2025 and they cannot wait to celebrate it with you.
