Aloha! April, here. If you are not from Hawai'i, e Komo Mai to my home! That being said, as my guest, please be respectful to the 'āina. Here in Hawai'i, things are much different than the mainland. 1. People drive speed limit here, sometimes slower. People cruuuuise here. 2. There is common courtesy here. People always allow others to merge. When you merge, or accidentally cut someone off, say thank you! Throw up a shaka. 3. People hold doors open and are big on manners. 4. When you go to a beach, clean up after yourself. 5. Learn about the culture and history of Hawai'i! Search on Google or go on fun historical tours! 6. Do not touch wildlife animals. Especially turtles, they are sacred here. 7. Do not bring home lava rocks off-island. Bad luck! 8. Do not underestimate the warning signs at beaches! Locals will laugh at you as you get dragged by the ocean because you did not listen. 9. Don't disrespect sacred land. 10. Do not embarrass me. Love you!
