Caleb proposed on Friday, September 19, 2025. He had the ring in his possession for a couple months unbeknownst to me. He was planning on possibly doing it on our next trip. I "knew" it was going to happen in 2026 - not 2025. We have a ski trip with our kids coming up in February and I always imagined he would propose in the mountains. A rare night with no kids at home all of a sudden came to fruition. And so he thought... "If not now, when?" I realized we had a few hours to ourselves so I asked if dinner and pickleball could be our date night plans. Caleb said sure, so we got dressed to go play and... I went to walk out the laundry room into the garage when Caleb said "hold on, before we go" and proceeded to get down on one knee. What made this funny was that he had been fake proposing for weeks in the most random places and at the most random times. So I laughed him off and went to turn around thinking it was another joke. Until I saw a box in his hand and thought... "No way, he got an empty box to up the ante with the fake proposals." That would be SO Caleb. Then he opened it and I saw it was real this time. In between the laughs, the tears... we have no idea what was said during the actual proposal. Completely forgot. Oh and I forgot to say yes through all the shock so at one point Caleb said... "Soooo. Is that a yes?" ...Well... Yes. :)

We matched on Hinge in April 2022. After talking back and forth every day for 6 weeks on Snapchat (like we were teenagers or something), and a few failed attempts at hanging out, Caleb finally asked me on our first date on my 34th birthday: May 23, 2022. And I said Yes. He drove all the way to Henderson to pick me up, & he was dressed so sharp - a button down and slacks and dress shoes. He showed up with a funny birthday card, $60 cash, and a purple orchid. (I call it our love fern IYKYK - we still have it lol) After spending hours at Charley G's that night, Caleb came over the next day to play Mario Kart and hang out. They say when you know you know and well.. I guess we knew. We have been together ever since. Caleb met Aubrey, Jace, & Brant that first week as "just my friend coming hang out" to "He's my boyfriend" by that weekend. (Whoa, right? Maybe a little crazy, lol) I met Bella & Piper not long after. And we have built and supported and showed up for our beautiful blended family ever since. Our own little Brady Bunch :) They are our greatest accomplishment, our reason for everything. And we are so blessed and honored to be able to finally make our family official.
