Wedding Party

Phoebe Newton

Maid of Honor

She may be Emma’s literal other half, but don't forget she is still two minutes younger! Phoebe is currently thriving in Salt Lake City Utah, where the missionaries know her by name even though she has politely declined conversion at least twelve times. You didn't hear it from the bride and groom, but they can neither confirm nor deny she is an unofficial Secret Lives of Mormon Wives superfan. We all know, if Phoebe is in charge - Momtok will survive this. She has, however, fully embraced the Utah lifestyle and can often be seen drinking a Swig sodie in her flat brim hat on her way to rock climbing - all while speeding and blasting Noah Khan in her subaru. Obviously, she's seen him play live at Red Rocks, and duh she's got tickets to his tour this summer. More importantly, she always comes prepared and there's probably a camping chair and an eno hammock in the trunk (just in case). When she's not rock climbing she is likely watching k-dramas with Astrid, off on some outdoorsy adventure with friends, or studying. If she's not studying, she's probably calling the bride to complain about studying While they are on opposite sides of the country, they still manage to get up to no good together on a regular basis. Whether sneaking Otis treats over the furbo when Sue isn't looking, talking about Astrid, or gossiping- FaceTime hates to see these two coming.

Lisa Marcellus

Bridesmaid

Lisa and the bride met in 2021 during their IBM onboarding, where a casual Webex “happy hour” turned into a Slack message about puzzles that quickly became plans for dinner. Over that meal they realized how much they had in common, from shared interests to a mutual love of Caesar salad and fries. The very next night they unexpectedly ran into each other again at a happy hour with a mutual work friend, and the rest is history. Somehow, Lisa and the bride even managed to scheme their way into work with the same client for almost three years. During that time they spent countless hours taking gossip walks and sent each other countless teams messages a day. Of course all of those messages were about working on important projects - what else would they be talking about? Rumor has it the bride and Lisa also hold the record for most laps around their client site, with an average of 1.3 miles per gossip walk (the bride consulted oura and apple watch data for this calculation). Lisa’s husband, Dylan, is an honorary bridesmaid. Thank you for letting me borrow her for so many Fridays spent talking, laughing, and scheming together over the last five years. We're still working on the California Roots sponsorship, but rumor has it 2027 is our year!

Erica Romero

Bridesmaid

Erica met the bride in a Girls Gotta Eat podcast Facebook group in 2019, back when Mrs. Romero was still Ms. Nadler. Their first meetup was a group hang at East End in Providence, and they clicked right away. From girls nights in, to hanging with Erica's late cat Pete, watching the infamous Pilot Pete season of the Bachelor, and nights out in Providence - they were always up to something! Unfortunately the bride has redacted any stories about their antics at Hot Club because what happens at Hot Club, stays at Hot Club. Erica has a way of making people feel cared for. She brings kindness and light into every friendship, pours her heart into her work in public health, and adores her sweet little boy, Logan. Despite living states away, Erica and the Bride always find time to catch up, gossip, and spoil Logan (the bride's favorite activity).

Julie Park

Bridesmaid

Julie met the bride through a chance connection on Bumble BFF (yes, it really works). Their first hang was a three‑course Italian dinner during DC Restaurant Week, and somewhere between pasta and dessert they realized they’d found a kindred girly pop. Even the long metro ride between Bethesda and Arlington didn't stop the pair from getting up to no good across the DMV. Julie and the bride have shared countless cozy afternoons of couch rotting and have turned their annual book camp into a tradition, sponsored by Joyce's and Quonnie Farms. One day the groom may earn an invite, but for now he holds a day pass to run the Quonnie 4‑miler. Blink and you’ll miss him at the finish line!

Lucy Bonin

Bridesmaid

Lucy and Emma met in their sorority, Tri Delt, at Colgate University. They did not know each other well back then, but they share the oddly specific bond of having both lived in the infamously tiny room 207 in the Delta house. It was fate that they would both end up in DC. After moving to DC, the bride saw Lucy living her best life in the district on instagram and sent her a DM on a whim. That message kicked off nonstop adventures, from happy hours to Jazz in the Garden to hanging out in the National Gallery just because. As two dedicated Swifties, they watched every surprise‑song livestream and terrorized 9:30 Club Taylor Swift nights before their ultimate adventure to the Eras Tour. If you see them on the Metro, they are probably judging your etiquette, especially if you stand left on the escalator.
