On the night of the proposal we were at the cabin in Houghton Lake for the fourth of July. The plan was to go for a night time boat ride to watch all the fireworks but as we were pulling out it looked like it was going to storm. At the time, I was so confused as to why everyone wanted to go out while it was getting worse on the water. Once we were on the lake from our canal it started to storm, once the lightening started I asked to go back to the house. They all were stalling to stay out but eventually started heading back. On the way back to the cabin while driving through the canal Bobby got up saying he was going to grab a blanket for us. When he came back over to me he got down on his knee. When I looked up I was so happy, all I could do was cry. It took me a minute to actually say YES but I was too busy sobbing. He planned to ask me later that night under the fireworks, but he could've asked me on our couch in pajamas and I still would've loved it. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone on our big day!!!
