FAQs

The Wedding Website of Taylor Thomas and James Newsome
If you have any additional questions beyond what’s listed below, please contact Taylor or James. We’re happy to provide any details you need.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive around 30 minutes early to give yourself time to park, find a seat, and get comfortable before the ceremony begins promptly at 3:30. Please note that the ceremony site is a small walk from parking, if you are unable to walk a distance please let us know as we will have transportation for those who need a little help getting to their seat.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We’re happy to welcome children at our wedding! However, we understand that some parents may prefer to utilize this as a night off—please feel free to choose what’s best for you. Please be sure to indicate in your RSVP if you plan on bringing them or not!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation specifies a guest, then you are more than welcome to bring one! If not, we ask that you attend on your own, as we are limited on space. Should you have any questions or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

To help us create a more intimate and meaningful experience, we ask that guests refrain from taking photos or using phones during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. We would love to see your smiling faces in our photos and not a cell phone. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All events of the evening will take place outdoors, please dress accordingly. We will have heaters placed around the reception area and a fire to provide some warmth!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we don’t have a specific dress code, we kindly encourage guests to wear their nicest attire and dress up with us! For example, men could wear well-fitted jeans or slacks with a button-down, and women could wear nice dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy tops with slacks. Please avoid wearing bright colors. Keep in mind this event is outdoors, so dress accordingly.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

When invitations are sent out we will include a RSVP deadline, check back here on our website at that time and you will find an RSVP tab to let us know if you can make it or not. Be sure when this time comes to let us know as soon as possible so we can save you a seat!

Question

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?

Answer

The venue does not allow outside alcohol, but don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with bartenders ready to serve an assortment of beer and wine!
