I still remember the day we met like it was just yesterday, June 15, 2013, to be exact lol. I was introduced to this man by one of his good friends, Chris, and I thought to myself ... "Hmmm, this is a good looking guy!" I remember him asking me if I wanted to play arcade games with him, he bought me a couple of drinks and before the night was over he asked me for my number. It never crossed my mind that this was the man God had chosen for me. I am so thankful for all the good, the bad, the happy and the sad moments we experienced together. It taught us so many lessons. Like to appreciate one another, do not take the small things for granted and to TRUST each other to the fullest. Without trust there is no US. As time went by, our bond and our love for each other grew stronger and deeper. I consider this man my best friend, my rock, my confidant, he is the Peanut to my Butter. I am sure by now you get the point lol. In conclusion, all I can say is that I love this man very much and I cannot picture life without him!
It was the Morning of Christmas and I was very nervous but excited at the sametime. Trying to plan the perfect place to pop the question had been on mind for months. I had purchased the ring several months prior but didn't quite know when or where I was going to propose. Then it hit me, we live in an area with beautiful parks and scenery where it would make for a great intimate setting to ask the big question. After thinking for quite sometime after purchasing the engagement ring , I came to the conclusion that Christmas morning would probably be the best gift and most memorable time to Propose. A daily routine of Denise and myself is to walk our dogs together, as often as we can. It was finally Christmas, the time had come . My feet were starting to sweat as I layed in bed next to her waiting for her to wake up and get our morning started. I mentioned that we should walk the dogs early before it gets to hot outside. As we began on our walk , we started to approach a beautiful area nearby that we love to walk our dogs. That specific area where we ended up is where it felt right, that now was the place, and time, to drop to one knee. I found a park bench nearby, and mentioned that we should sit here and let the dogs run around for a minute. After carefully observing the area, I started to have a brief conversation on how much closer we have gotten throughout our 5 plus years of dating and how much we've grown together. With less of more of the mushy stuff, I started to tear up, which is then when I told Denise that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. Moments later I dropped to one knee and ask that beautiful woman to marry me. She said Yes!
