James and Lydia's story begins just before his freshman year of high school at a random church event during the end of summer. James saw Lydia volunteering with her friends passing out popcorn and remembers instantly thinking she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Over the years, their paths continued to cross- they shared classes which were full of opportunities to make Lydia laugh and James took every chance he got. They carried conversations that lasted a couple years even though they were apart. From topics over music, movies, and life overall, Lydia learned there was a patient pursuit from James, that deepened his adoration of Lydia, even if it was a mountain away. Though he carried a crush on Lydia for nearly a decade, Lydia's timing finally aligned when they were 23 and 22, and the friendship that began years before, has grown into a love that God has not only blessed, but brought them to the next step- marriage!
