Sami met Sam during his Freshman year at Auburn, but it wasn't until 2 years later that they became friends. In the Summer of 2014, they both studied abroad in Vienna, Austria with the Auburn German Department. Throughout the 5 weeks of grueling language and culture classes, the two found time to laugh and become closer as friends. Their friendship continued to grow in America through more German classes and weekly Chick-fil-A lunches. In February 2015, the pair decided to make things official and affectionately became known as "the Sams." Shortly into their relationship, Sami moved to Tennessee and Sam began a Master’s program at Auburn. But that didn’t slow the Sams down. Through papers, promotions, and everything else life had to offer, the two stayed close despite the long distance. In 2018, Sam asked Sami if she would marry him and on January 18, 2019, there will officially be two Sam Wade’s.
