Carolyn’s first words to their mama when Katy was born was, “Is she mine or yours?” Now, she is going to be along side her (as always) to give her over to Mr. Hughey! Katy has always looked up to her sister. Carolyn is a strong, spiritual, and loving mother.

Bailey Beth is Katy’s apple of her eye. She is very special to her ever since the day she was born, and rubbed Carolyn’s feet while in labor. Katy is so happy for Bailey to be joining her on her wedding day!

Katie Bug (AKA: Wifers) has been Katy’s rock. She’s a great friend who shows unconditional love. They’ve known each other since childhood, and really bonded over countless college memories. MSU would not have been the same without her Wifers!

Whitney and Katy are kindred souls. Their passion for art, animals, cars, and rocker styles in high school made them click. They’ve shared so many similarities throughout life’s journey. Katy is so happy to have Whitney by her side on her big day!

In Texas, your word means everything. Jessica embodies that value. You can count on Jess if she says she’ll be there. Jess and Katy have a special bond. She brings out the goofiness in Katy, and motivates her to stay active. She is a loving mother and wife. Her kindness and compassion is a great quality to have. Katy is so happy to have her as a bridesmaid!

Varuni and Katy met during their final year of Architecture school. Their creativity and open-mindedness made them drawn together. They were travel buddies in Italy. If it wasn’t for Varuni, Katy would have gotten lost a time or two overseas! Varuni is a wise and intelligent friend.

Bridesmaid (Adulthood)

Lara is Katy’s first “real world” friend. They both traveled to Dallas, Texas away from their hometowns to flex their independence. Lara and Katy connected at BGO Architects with their love for lashes and all things girly. Katy shared her first date with Ryan at Six Flags with Lara and Brett. (Her now husband.) Lara is a wonderful wife and mother. Katy looks up to her very much.

Heather is Ryan’s brother Collin’s wife. Heather is a model wife and mother. Katy looks up to her skills, and is looking forward to baby Hunter having cousin(s) one day! Heather is a sweet girl with pretty hair!

I first met Ryan in boot camp back in November 2005. We were bunk mates for some time. At the beginning he couldn’t make a bed, but by the time we graduated he was able to handle his rifle while doing drill without getting punched in the face by the drill instructor. He made quite some progress. We spent some time in guard, then SOI, and after were sent to the same company and battalion. We did two deployments together. We were never in the same platoon, but always managed to spend time together in Iraq, with them Katoys in Thailand, or back in the US. We still manage to stay in touch these days even though we live a few thousand miles apart. He is a good man, and I wish him and Katy all the best in this new chapter of their lives.

The year was 2006 and My Chemical Romance dropped “The Black Parade” and AFI also had an album. FOX 2/5 4th platoon just came together and got two goofy looking porthole wearing boots that single handedly won the war on terrorism (Don’t fact check that). They experienced the world together, went to concerts together, played beach volleyball together, and ate at chronic taco together. I am proud to know this man and honored to witness this occasion. I wish you guys the best and look forward to seeing ya’ll grow together.
