Wedding guests may visit and enjoy all 300 acres of the park at anytime during the day of the wedding for no admission fee. When entering, make sure you mention the Dotson wedding! If you do decide to visit the park prior to the wedding, we ask that you please do not enter the museum until wedding time. All parts of the museum will be open to our guests, but closed to the public for the evening during our event.
When you enter the park, follow the main road to a roundabout. Once you get to the roundabout, take the second road off of it. It will take you down down a steep hill. Take with caution. You will see the back of the museum to your left. We will have “Dotson Wedding” signs to guide you inside the park!
The museum does have its own parking, but it is not a traditional lot. There is a grass median for parking, as well as grass along the tree line.
Guests in wheelchairs or those that have difficultly with steps or steep ramps, please coordinate to be dropped off at the rear of the museum and follow the sidewalk along the side of the building.
While this is not a black tie affair, we ask that you take this night as a chance to dress to impress and show yourself off! Please refrain from wearing jeans, T-shirts or gym shoes if at all possible. The majority of the evening will be spent outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
While we love all your littles, in order for us to best follow our venues Covid-19 guidelines, we ask that this is an adult only affair. No children under the age of 13 please. Only children who were asked to be in the ceremony will be present. If you are in need of a date night sitter, we recommend visiting www.blissfamilycare.com.
At this moment, we are unsure of how dinner will be presented due to Covid-19 guidelines. Rest assured, we will have food and it will be delicious.
Please refrain from taking any photographs, videos, etc during the ceremony, as we are hosting an unplugged ceremony. We promise our skilled photography team of 3 will get all of the best shots. Feel free to take all of the photos you’d like during the reception, we just ask that you please be mindful of the photographers and their shots during the night. Thanks for understanding!
While we are trying to stay optimistic regarding our wedding, there is the very real possibility we may have to postpone our event if the state mandates as such. We will ensure all guests are informed of any changes immediately.
If you need to make changes to your previously mailed in RSVP, please email dotsonwedding91920@gmail.com with any adjustments.
