Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of our guests, we have decided to postpone our wedding to September 5, 2021. Please review the updated wedding and travel details!
Ashley and Johnny first met when Ashley was too talkative in 10th grade Spanish class and got her seat moved right next to Johnny. Fast forward to the Homecoming dance in 2008 when Johnny first asked Ashley to dance... and then later in November when he asked her to be his girlfriend! The rest is history. They've been through it all together... attending different colleges, living in different parts of Boston, moving across the country to San Diego, adopting their dog Charlie, getting engaged, moving back home to Boston, buying a house, and planning their wedding... twice! Now they are FINALLY ready to tackle the biggest day of their lives!
On May 12, 2018, Johnny made plans for a date night to go to watch the sunset at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, a favorite spot of the couple, and then have dinner at a restaurant Ashley had always wanted to try. It had been raining all day, so Johnny was a little nervous, but right as they were about to leave for dinner, the skies cleared up. They headed to Sunset Cliffs and were watching the surfers and sea lions as they usually do. Johnny was frantically trying to find the photographer he hired for the occasion, all while teenagers were taking prom pictures with their families all over the cliffs. The photographer managed to clear everyone out, and Johnny sprang into action. He brought Ashley closer to the water and reminisced on all of the travel they've done together, and told her that no matter where in the world life brings them, he always feels at home when he's with her. Then he asked, "Ashley Madeline Ahearn, will you marry me?" To which the answer was an overwhelming "YES!"
