we are getting married!

Kayla and Blake met in December 2022 through a dating app called Hinge. Their first date was at Postino Heights, a wine bar close to where they live. They quickly realized on their first date that they had grown up just down the road from each other in Cypress, Texas. They attended the same elementary school, lived in adjacent neighborhoods, and had many of the same experiences within their community. After graduating high school, Blake moved to Galveston, TX, to play baseball at Galveston Community College for a few years before moving on to finish playing baseball and graduate from college in Abilene, TX. After graduating from Texas A&M, Kayla also found herself living in Galveston, TX, for a couple years while she attended the University of Texas Medical Branch for nursing school. Blake moved back to Houston in the summer of 2022, where Kayla had been living since 2019. After their first date in December 2022, they were inseparable. The “invisible string” between them finally tied them together, after years of their paths just barely missing each other. They cannot wait to officially tie the knot in Galveston on December 12, 2026, and celebrate with all of you!
