My first day at Union College I remember reading the welcome back edition of the Clocktower. On the front cover, along with his note from the editor, was a picture of Steven, ugh so handsome. Later that day I SAW HIM! I was at the library and Steven walked in and had a huge bromance moment with a close friend he hadn't seen all summer. He was feet away from me. I was laughing to myself at their lack of concern for who saw. He didn't notice me AT ALL, but I knew exactly who he was and remember thinking that he was even cuter in person. For the entire year we talked exactly zero times. I was too shy to introduce myself. I sent him a Facebook friend request, but that's about it. I took the next year off to volunteer abroad and when I came back to Union to finish school, Steven had graduated. Fortunately, however, he was still in Lincoln working and don't ask me how I knew that, it's not like I stalked him on the internet or anything. On November 18, 2016 Steven liked my Facebook profile picture and then a few minutes later one of my old Instagram photos. I liked his most recent Instagram photo.. and then he liked another one of mine. I rushed to my roommate's room freaking out and Hannah encouraged me to like one of his back. You guys I was so nervous! Soon Steven messaged me and we agreed to go on a date the next night. It was hands down the best date I had ever been on--we connected instantly. We had dinner, walked around downtown, went to a coffee shop to warm up and talk, the coffee shop closed, so we decided to go to a movie. We were having such a good time, we didn't want to say goodbye so we just kept planning new things to do to spend more time together. We've been best friends ever since that cold November night. We started dating a month later and got engaged a little over a year after that. Our relationship has been so easy. We're just so good together and I cannot wait to marry him. YOU GUYS I GET TO MARRY HIM! I'm so excited and hope you can party with us!
