The day was August fourth, and we were on vacation. We started our day by reading our Bibles and then heading to the gym. We decided earlier in the week to eat out for Micah's birthday that was coming up. We were going to dress nice and take pictures after dinner. I (Nevaeh) knew that he had ordered the ring, but he informed me that it hadn't come in. As a girl who loves to know things, I wanted to know all about our future proposal. I was bummed that the ring did not arrive yet. I had always wanted a beach proposal. After dinner, I began doubting taking pictures because it was raining. Micah insisted that we take them under the pier because of the rain. We arrived, and I was starting to become very suspicious. I saw two random girls standing there, and my family was not at the pier. Then we walked down under the pier, and Micah got on one knee. I, of course, said "YES" and now I am building our wedding website! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Bowling Green!

We first met at the University of the Cumberlands dining hall in the spring semester of 2022. The semester was winding down, and there was little time to discover anything new, or so we thought. It was an average day of classes, and we both happened to get some lunch between classes at that time. I (Micah) knew some of the people already eating with Nevaeh and her friends so I was invited over and obviously said yes to the company. It became a regular thing for the next few weeks, and even started to hang out with Nevaeh and her friends outside of this time, like at the library. Then summer hit, and our new friendship seemed to be a blur. A few small talk messages over Instagram were exchanged over the break, but signs of love were being missed left and right. When the fall semester rolled around, though, things picked right back up into stride with this new friendship. After a few weeks of not knowing whether the other liked the other, one weekend seemed just to answer all those questions for us. Through a library date, a watch of the movie Coco, and some thorough conversations about our past and future, there was no other possible outcome for us to start dating on that beautiful night of September 16th, 2022.
