The museum takes the space of Frida Kahlo's House, and is a lovely way to know her better. Reservations fill up fast, so make sure you plan ahead. It's fortunately located in Coyoacan, a "magic town" within Mexico City full of cafes, art, music, an artesian market, and just a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon exploring.
This huge museum houses the history and artifacts from cultures of ancient and present day Latin America. It is the most famous and visited museum in the nation, and it's importance makes it a MUST SEE. It is conveniently located in Parque Chapultepec, Mexico City's Central Park and home to many other interesting sights, such as Castillo de Chapultepec.
This was the main temple in the Aztec city of Tenochtítlan. That puts it right at the center of Distrito Federal, Mexico City's downtown.
This is probably the most famous archaeological zone in Mexico. YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED. The best way to visit is through a local tour company that provides transportation and a guided tour.
This is a "magic town" within Mexico City. It has a beautiful monastery to tour and lovely streets to walk around. It is an example of the numerous magic towns we fell in love in [and with] all over Mexico. It is a bit harder to access as it's located on the outskirts of the city. The best way is to hire a taxi.
This is another hard one to see, but one of Neva's favorite places in the area. It is an old monastery and is actually located in the forested mountains surrounding the valley. The landscape is beautiful, the history is magical, and the food is amazing. Different from any other region. Think trout, rabbits and exotic mushrooms. Forest food.
This is the church where we are to be wedded! I mostly put this here so you can use it as reference on the map, but it has its own history. I will try to give more information as I can later on.
