We embarked on an exciting Alaskan cruise on July 5th, 2023. A few days later in Juneau, we adventured out to Mendenhall Glacier to take in the sights. After a gentle hike down to the water, with a beautiful waterfall as a background, Lindsay and Joey started taking pictures to remember the moment. After taking pictures together, and a selfie, Joey suggested they ask someone to take their picture. He approached a woman, and asked her to take a picture. As he got close to her, he lowered his voice, and said "I'm going to propose, I want you to take a video." The woman froze up and said "Oh no, I'm going to mess it up, let's have one of my daughters do it." Joey stopped her "no, I don't want Lindsay to wonder what's going on. You'll pretend you're going to take a picture, but actually it'll be a video." The woman grabbed Joey's phone and he made his way back to Lindsay. The woman counted them down, 3 2 1... and on 1 Joey got down on one knee, pulled the ring box from his fanny pack around his waist and held the box out towards Lindsay (upside down of course) and asked her to marry him. Lindsay shouted "Yes!" and the rest was history. The woman did a great job with the engagement video, never did get her name.
