FAQs

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to Sarah & Joe at sarahjoewedding08.20.22@gmail.com.
Question

What is happening on Friday night?

Answer

Please join us for our Welcome Party at Pat McGovern's Pub in St. Paul from 8:00-10:00pm! We can't wait to kick off the weekend celebrations. For dinner recommendations beforehand, check out our Things to Do tab. Pat McGovern's has a great outdoor patio if you want to grab dinner there before heading up to the second floor.

Question

What should I do after the ceremony and before the reception?

Answer

We recommend heading to the Loon Cafe, which is located between the Church of the Assumption and the Landmark Center. Feel free to check out our "Things to Do" tab if you want to squeeze in a Minnesota landmark or grab a drink nearby.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

By July 15, please! Let us know if you can join us through our RSVP tab on this website - no need to mail anything to us. We hope to see you there!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail/semi-formal attire - which, according to Google, is "a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable" or "cocktail dresses, a suit and tie, or a sports coat." If you want to dress more formally, go for it! (If it helps, Sarah will be wearing a white dress and Joe will be wearing a tux.)

Question

Should I rent a car? Where should I park?

Answer

Our ceremony, reception, and hotel options are all within a few blocks of one another, so we don't think you need to rent a car - but if you're planning to be in Minnesota for a few days and want to do some sightseeing, you're welcome to! Downtown St. Paul is about a 15 minute Uber/Lyft ride from the MSP airport. Parking is available at the Church of the Assumption parking lot, but cars need to be moved after the ceremony. Street parking is available near the Landmark Center, and the St. Paul Hotel located across the street has valet parking.

Question

When should I book my accommodations?

Answer

If you'd like to book a hotel using our wedding block rates, please book by July 21 for the Saint Paul Hotel or July 22 for the Intercontinental Hotel or Hilton DoubleTree. See the "Accommodations" tab for more information.

Question

What do I need to know about health & safety measures related to COVID-19?

Answer

We request that all guests be vaccinated against COVID-19 or get a negative test within 48 hours of our events. All of our wedding events are taking place indoors. Feel free to wear a mask if you'd like! If we have any COVID-related updates, we will post them on this website.

Question

Do you have a registry? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please know that your presence at our wedding celebration is the best present. However, if you'd like to purchase something off of our Zola registry, check out the "Registry" tab. Since we're in the process of moving to Chicago, we'll take care of the shipping address logistics: all you need to do is click on an item, check out, and know that it will be sent to us! We're so grateful for your contributions to our married life together. If you have something else in mind and need our most up-to-date address, please feel free to reach out.

Question

How else can I share my love with the newlyweds?

Answer

Aww, thanks for asking! We're collecting recipes from our loved ones and compiling them into a Wedding Cookbook. If you'd like to share your favorite recipe with us, please visit this link: tinyurl.com/sarahjoerecipebook
