Wedding Announcement

Coronavirus

As most of you know, Brady and I still got married on June 27th, 2020. Due to Covid we had to have a very small and intimate wedding. Which was still amazing, but we missed having all of our family there. So the plan for this year is to celebrate our marriage with an amazing reception with all our loved ones! As of right now we are hoping that there will be no restrictions and we will just be able to have fun!

How We Met

Brady and I met seven years ago in high school, which seems like forever ago, through a mutual friend. We had met in passing time and eventually became great friends. We have the same personalities which made the friendship all that more natural between us. Around came prom time in school and I had wanted to go but had no date. I did not want to be the third wheel of a group, so I came up with the idea of going with Brady since we got along so well and I knew we would have a blast with each other. So I asked him over text since it was just a casual friend thing. Well as time went on we hung out more and that's when the unexpected happened! FEELINGS! Sure enough with all the time we had spent together and got to know each other, the more we started to like each other. Fast forward a couple months to prom night, May 12th, 2012. The amazing, fun filled day was coming to an end and Brady had pulled me aside to pop the question "Will you be my girlfriend?"

The Proposal

At this point we had been together 6 years and I was hoping that a proposal would be coming soon. Well every year I plan a birthday dinner for myself with some of my favorite people. The day of my birthday came and some things had happened in the passing month that raised some suspicion. Suspicion 1: About a week prior he asked me if I wanted a mani pedi for my birthday. I of coarse said yes but wanted to save it for our trip to Myrtle Beach two short months later. Well then Kendra had asked if I wanted to get manicures for my birthday and she would buy as my birthday gift. Suspicion 2: About a month prior to that, he came to visit me at work on his way to a side plumbing job for his aunt and uncle in the cities. I saw that he was wearing his nice clothes and said, “Why are you wearing your good clothes to a plumbing job? You should change.” He responded with “What I’m going to be doing won’t ruin my clothes, I promise.” Suspicion 3: The day of my birthday he had told me that he had to pick up some work shirts he ordered for work before he came home to get ready for dinner. That’s when I put it all together. The manicure was so my fingers would look pretty for hand pictures, he dressed nice for the side plumbing job because he was going to ask dad for permission, and lastly he was picking up “work shirts” AKA my ring. So I thought to myself if he doesn't come home with those shirts then I know exactly what's going to happen tonight. Well sure enough he came home with his work shirts. So I gave up the whole idea and went on with the night. Fast forward a couple hours. I was running around mingling and Kendra yelled at me across the restaurant to open my presents. So I opened my presents and the last one that I opened was..... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "A wedding planner?" My thought was, I'm not even engaged! Well then here comes Brady and down on one knee he goes!! It was an amazing moment surround by all our loved ones.
