Parents of the Bride
Barb and Scott, the mother and father of the bride, are people Cora holds closest to her heart. Cora knows Barb and Scott are her biggest supporters and have been there for her throughout her life. She is grateful for their unconditional love, and Nick and Cora are especially thankful to Barb and Scott for opening their home to them when Cora was pregnant with Bridger. Nick and Cora know they wouldn’t be where they are today without Barb and Scott’s unwavering encouragement.
Officiant
On their first trip to California, Nick and Cora stayed with her Uncle George and Aunt Sue. Since Cora was little, she has admired Sue’s warmth, kindness, and patience. When Nick met George they easily connected over their shared values and principles. Nick loved learning from George’s abundance of wisdom and stories. The couple knew George’s confidence and vibrant wit made him the perfect person to marry them. He even earned a new title, the Ordained Lord George Bull.
Maid of Honor
Piper is Cora’s closest and best friend, in fact, they knew each other before their parents knew them. Piper and Cora came from the same orphanage in Gui Zhou, China and were adopted by families living in Denver, Colorado. Piper is a beautiful, thoughtful, hilarious person. Cora knows Piper is someone she can always turn to and truly be herself around. Cora has had the support of Piper and her family all throughout her life, and feels so blessed they all could attend the elopement.
Best Man
Richard came all the way from Georgia to be Nick’s best man at the elopement. Richard and Nick met while working at Best Buy and became best friends over their shared unique sense of humor. Richard is one of the kindest souls, he has always stood by Nick through every stage of life. Nick and Cora are blessed to call Richard and his lovely wife, Lexi, family.
Flower Granny
Barb Berman (Aunt Barb) was the couple's “flower granny”. Aunt Barb and her daughter Peri were extraordinarily loving and helpful when Nick and Cora were navigating early parenthood. They love Barb’s humor, honesty, and admire her giving nature. She was the best flower granny they could ask for!
Grandpa
Cora’s Grandpa, Barney, is one of the most special people to Nick and Cora. Cora’s grandparents have always been very involved in her life. They even purchased a townhome in Colorado to be closer as she grew up. Cora has always cherished the close bond she shared with her grandparents and continues to hold that connection close, even after her grandmother passed away. Nick and Cora kept Grandma Betty’s memory close on their wedding day, filling the celebration with the flowers she had always loved. The couple admires Grandpa Barney’s intelligence, compassion, and strength. They consider themselves truly blessed that he was able to witness their wedding.
Family
Cora has truly appreciated that her Uncle Andy and Aunt Beth have always made an effort to be a part of her life. Cora and Nick love their authentic and adventurous nature. Cora has many happy memories trying new things with her Aunt and Uncle, like eating ramen so spicy it made her cry! Nick and Cora know they can always count on them, and were so blessed Uncle Andy and Aunt Beth were able to be a part of their happy day.
Great Friends
Ed and Laurel were friends of Cora’s grandparents, Barney and Betty. Barney met Ed while working as an engineer in San Francisco. Nick and Cora enjoy Ed and Laurel's calmness and creativity. Bridger loves to spend time playing ball or showing Ed his toys. Cora and Nick are blessed to have Ed and Laurel as friends, and are especially grateful they were apart of their big day.
Entertainer
The last little member of the elopement was a crowd favorite who Cora and Nick hold close to their hearts. Bridger, their 2-year-old son, is the shining symbol of Cora and Nick's relationship. He's funny, playful, expressive, and even a little moody at times. It was wonderful having his joyful presence on such a joyful day.
