Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend a dark suit or tux for the men and formal evening wear (floor length/cocktail dresses) for the women.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

October can be hit or miss, could either be in the 50's/60's or 40’s and below. Please check the weather and dress accordingly.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in an outdoor chapel, however, if there is inclement weather there will be drapes covering the sides, but all is covered. The cocktail hour will be held primarily indoors, but you can of course step outside and enjoy all the grounds have to offer. Reception will be held indoors as well with access to the veranda.

Where should guests park and is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and plenty of it right outside the venue.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have blocked out rooms for our guests at the Hotel LBI and Holiday Inn. Check accommodations page for further information.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes. There will be a vegetarian/vegan entree option as well as plenty to choose from during cocktail hour. Please advise of any food allergies.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag # so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided. We have hired a shuttle service to take our guests too and from Hotel LBI to the Mallard. Pick up's will begin at 3 o'clock to the venue for the ceremony. In the evening, the shuttle will be running until 10 o'clock. If you choose to stay for the after party, we are recommending just calling an Uber to take you back to the hotel!
