Update: New guidelines for Washington published May 13 allow guests at a "fully vaccinated wedding" to be exempt from masking, distancing and grouping restrictions. "Fully vaccinated" means guests must show either proof of a vaccination or a negative test result (must be within 72 hours of the wedding) upon entry.
Yes! Kids are welcome.
No, we will not have a shuttle. Skamania Lodge has lots of parking, and they are offering discounted rates if you'd like to stay the night. Visit our "Travel" page for info on that.
If your invitation says "and guest" then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.
The short answer is "whatever you'd wear to a nice restaurant on a summer night." The long answer is: Sundresses, cocktail dresses, suits, slacks, button-downs, sports coats, ties or no ties -- this is all perfect for our wedding.
Potentially hot, potentially not. But hopefully it'll be nice. The Gorge can be windy, so keep that in mind. The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors.
From Portland, drive east on I-84 until you reach the Cascade Locks exit. Cross the Bridge of the Gods and pay the troll toll ($2). Take a right on Hwy 14 when you cross into Washington. You'll see a sign for Skamania Lodge about a mile down the road. Turn left. If you are coming east on I-84, it's the same thing! Or if you are feeling squirrelly you can take Hwy 14 the whole way and drive on the Washington side, but it's a one lane highway and you might get trapped behind a slow truck.
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. Also it's beautiful, so you should come early to take in the view!
There will be vegan/vegetarian options. Skamania should be able to accommodate special diets if you'd like to reach out to them.
Sure! But please wait until the end of the night.
