We kindly request a child-free ceremony and reception on the day of our wedding. However, DC can be a great family-friendly destination and your children (and any caretakers) are welcome to all other weekend festivities! No need to notify us ahead of time for the Welcome Party or Dacha, but please shoot Ryan or Katy a text about the Nationals game so that we can secure and share our group tickets in the section with you. There are some young adults that we'd love to see at the wedding that will be clearly indicated in the online RSVP process.
If your invitation is made out to you and a guest, then yes! If not, then we hope you will understand that we have limited capacity.
Garden Attire / Cocktail / Semi-Formal: The ceremony & reception are being held at our neighborhood winery during DC's cherry blossom season so florals and sundresses are encouraged, and ties are optional! However walking to the venue you may run into President Biden enjoying a fresh cone at Ice Cream Jubilee across the street, so dress to impress. Our cocktail reception will be outdoors, please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. We are surprised we have to ask this, but we've been to way too many weddings lately with female guests wearing fully white dresses or tops (some white is okay!). Help us make sure Katy's special day stays special by ensuring she's the only one in white.
You'll be able to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions for the wedding when you RSVP !
Though we will not be providing transportation, the hotel and the wedding venue are both within a short walking distance of each other.
There is a paid uncovered lot located next to the venue at 4th Street Southeast & Water Street Southeast. Pricing is determined by length of stay, and can be raised on event days. Please note there is a Nats game the day of the wedding. https://abmparking.com/facilities/parking-for-the-yards-dc/
To make it convenient for everyone, the party will continue at the hotel bar.
