As excited as we were about the location in Mountainburg, we found an even more perfect venue conveniently located in Broken Arrow.

Please feel free to rock your 20s fashions!!! Or just wear something semi formal in any era. No sweat.

We look forward to seeing you on our big day on April 4th! Of course we understand if you are unable to join us due to health concerns or difficulties traveling. If you feel sick, please stay home, and if you are able to join us, please wash your hands and cover your coughs and sneezes. We have been expecting about 60 guests, although only about a third of our invited guests have RSVPd so far. We plan to go ahead with the wedding as planned at Restore House in Broken Arrow, but we are watching the situation closely and we will announce any further changes here, so please be sure to check back here in the final days before the wedding. We got word today that due to covid-19, the civil authorities have suspended all permits for all events, including weddings. We will go ahead with an intimate ceremony on April 4th without any invited guests. We hope you will all be able to join us for a reception later this year. We are excited to celebrate with everyone once things settle down, so we will inform you of that date as soon as we can. We love all of you and wish you health and happiness in this trying time. Since the coronavirus failed to check with us before sending all the world into chaos, we have been forced to completely reimagine our wedding all over again. Gatherings of more than 10 people are no longer permitted, so we will be unable to receive any guests in April. We love you all and miss you, but seriously, please just stay home and stay healthy. We want to see every one of you at our reception, which Restore House has graciously allowed us to reschedule to the only other Saturday they still have available this year - HALLOWEEN!! This will be THE Halloween party this year! There will be a costume contest, music and dancing, tacos, pies, an open bar, a build-your-own S'mores station, and lots of fun games for all ages (giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, bocce, Hunker Hauser, etc.). Be there or be square!

Due to public health concerns, we will be unable to receive any guests on April 4th, so we have rescheduled the reception to October 31st. In light of this big change, we have reset all RSVPs, so we need everyone to RSVP again to the October 31st reception. Thank you for your patience as we all try to navigate these uncertain times together! See you on Halloween!

Hast Photography has graciously set up a Facebook group to serve as our new central hub for the live stream of the event. Search Facebook for NelsonMize2020, or contact either of us to be added to the group. Tune in there at 3pm Central Daylight Time on Saturday, April 4, 2020 to see the live stream of our ceremony. Once again, please stay safe and healthy so we can see you all in person at our wedding reception on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Broken Arrow! The reception will be live in person, on Saturday, October 31, 2020. This will be one of the greatest Halloween parties of all time, with a 20s themed costume contest, tacos, pies, an open bar, outdoor games, and build your own s’mores! This will be at Restore House, on South Main Street in Broken Arrow.

Restore House in Broken Arrow is ours for the night, whether we use it or not... so let’s get together for an appropriately distanced outdoor event. Masks (cloth covering over nose and mouth) will be required. We have decided to stick with the 20s theme, so please dress up in your best 20s outfit. We will gather at Restore House in Broken Arrow 5pm to 9pm. There will be tacos, pies, open bar (with a few signature drinks), outdoor games for all ages, music and a dance floor, all outdoors and seating will be spaced appropriately. Prize for best 20s costume! Please be sure to RSVP as soon as possible so we can save you a seat! Also, please be sure to check back here a week before and a day before, in case state or local authorities pull the plug on us again.
