Matron of Honor
Hannah is Jess's baby sister, younger by 4 years. Hannah spent the first 18 years of her life tormenting Jess - playing with her toys, stealing her clothes, and generally being a nuisance. However, at some point, their playful sisterhood turned into the most beautiful friendship. Hannah and Jess have supported each other through both the highest & lowest points of their lives, from being a shoulder to cry on to Jess literally cutting the cord when Hannah's baby was born. Near daily FaceTime calls have kept them close through over 12 years of living in separate states. Jess could not imagine anyone else standing by her side.
Best Man
Mark and Drew have been BEST friends since 7th grade (that's 24 years of friendship - wowza). Drew owes most of that credit to Mark as we all know that Drew doesn't like to text and is not a big phone talker either. Mark and Drew were INSEPARABLE in middle school and high school - often just hanging out with each other - knowing they were much wiser than their peers ;). They unintentionally became each other's beards during this time as well - which looking back, probably saved their lives. They continued to save each other time and time again throughout college (when they both attended Kennesaw State University together) and throughout their 20s - where they made a concerted effort to live no more than a few miles apart. Some of Drew's fondest memories are with Mark - including times where she's laughed so hard she's cried, peed her pants, or done both at the same time. To this day they've always had each other's back no matter what. Drew is Mark's biggest fan and vice versa. Drew is immensely proud of the human she's gotten to witness Mark grow into over the years and is so honored to have him stand by her side. Love is an understatement for the feelings these two share.
Maid of Honor
Emily and Jess are nearing a decade of friendship and have survived a lot of life together over the years. They first found each other through mutual friends in their very cultish college experience. Emily bankrolled Jess through her last semester of being a poor college student so she would have someone to go out with, and Jess convinced Emily to run their first half marathon together. They've enjoyed traveling many times together over the years - to Savannah, Maine, Seattle, Austin, Sedona, Sweden, Switzerland... it goes on! Emily is the least judgmental, most supportive, most loving friend who always shows up for Jess. She is honest and caring and loyal.
Officiant
Alyssa and Drew met through a friend. Then Drew posted on social media that she was looking for a 3rd roommate in Old 4th Ward. It was love immediately. They just clicked. They had the most amazing experience of living in the city in their 20s with another single lady (as 3 single and completely different women) growing and learning about themselves - making mistakes, living vulnerably, and being completely unapologetic about it. They would not trade those few years of their lives for anything else. It was the most transformational time for all them - that they didn't know at the time - but that they can look back on now so thankful for. Alyssa and Drew have stayed very close ever since. Alyssa and Jess also hit it off immediately and have become very good friends in just a short amount of time. Drew had the honor of officiating Alyssa's wedding to her wonderful husband, Sean. And now there's no one else Drew & Jess could imagine more fit to officiate their wedding.
Bridesmaid
Jenn came into Jess's life unexpectedly in 2020, becoming her first friend post-world opening back up. What started as a casual gym-friendship has turned into deep, supportive, and hilariously honest friendship. Jenn is also the mastermind behind the creation of The Board - a group of 7 best friends of which Jess is a founding member. Even though she now calls Salt Lake City home, Jenn's friendship is as strong as ever, proving that distance can't dim the sparkle of their friendship.
Groomsfolk
Emma & Drew have known each other since high school but became really close friends after college when a group of high school girls started taking annual trips to the North Georgia Mountains over MLK JR weekend. Their sense of humor and carefree outlook on life are unmatched - which has allowed them to create a deep and meaningful friendship throughout the years. Drew appreciates how honest and vulnerable of a life Emma chooses to live and feels lucky to call her a best friend, knowing that most everyone that meets Emma gravitates towards her loving and welcoming personality.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is another founding member of The Board and has become one of Jess's best friends through years of both deep belly laughs and tears of joy and of sadness. Sarah and her husband recently moved into a home 3 minutes away from Jess and Drew, and Jess could not be happier. Sarah has the most incredibly joyous yet peaceful energy. She is thoughtful and kind, and Jess aspires to be more like her every day.
Groomsfolk
Claire and Drew have also known each other since high school but became really close friends in college where they were roommates and got the chance to grow into actual little humans together. They developed a deep and life-long friendship over 4 years of shameless, judge-free, endless love-filled self-discovery that can only take place in your college years. Since then, they've experienced the highest highs and lowest lows that life has to throw at a person - side by side - always there for each other - never needing to talk daily but always picking up right where they left off.
Groomsfolk
Lauren (Drew's sister) is 9 years older than Drew. She was so much more than just a sister. She stepped in to help their mom with caretaking responsibilities when she probably would have rather been at middle school and high school parties. Lauren was a constant in Drew's life growing up - adding a sense of stability and continual source of love and support. She is the reason Drew is successful and funny from childhood trauma instead of in jail somewhere.
Groomsfolk
John (Drew's brother) is two years older than Drew and was Drew's first friend. John taught Drew all about every type of airplane imaginable growing up. He would let/make her follow him around the neighborhood while he created new plane routes with his model airplanes. He also taught Drew about all animals. Her earliest memories include going exploring, climbing trees, turning over rocks, you name it - in order to find as many creatures as they could to bring home and keep in their terrariums. Her favorite memory is the time he risked getting them put on the no-fly list by convincing her to help him sneak a baby bird past security at the Memphis airport to bring the bird home to Atlanta from their Grandparent's house. They succeeded (it was the 90s).
