Nelson picked up the ring on October 15, 2021. As soon as he saw it, he knew he couldn't wait any longer to give it to Maddie. Nelson wanted to truly surprise Maddie, who hates surprises, so he got down on one knee in the kitchen of the couple's home. Maddie was completely shocked and utterly ecstatic. The couple got engaged on their two year dating anniversary, and will be married on October 15, 2022.
