Nicole and Nels met while working at a juice bar in Boston. From the very first time they set eyes on each other, they knew. They bonded over summers in Lake Placid, love of being outdoors and shared musical taste. After graduating from college, they moved to London. From the streets of Paris to the Hagia Sofia of Istanbul, they had incredible adventures around Europe together. In 2020, they moved to Seattle where they spent their time hiking, exploring the PNW, making and fostering friendships, and adopting a tiny kitten named Peanut. When Nicole got into a PhD program at Johns Hopkins, they got ready to move to Baltimore, but Nels had a little surprise up his sleeve. On the eve of their departure, he proposed in a botanical garden while they were on one of their daily walks. Thankfully, she said yes. They can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
