I think it was Yogi Berra who said something to the effect, " You don't have to swing hard to hit a home run. " It's all about the timing." Well for Taylor and me, our timing resulted in a home run. Taylor and I were introduced through a dating app and first met at a sketchy pub. In Taylor's defense for making that choice as our meeting place, the pub had lost a few stars in review since his last visit there. That evening, we connected through our shared love of reality competition tv shows. Survivor, Amazing Race and other trash tv. In just a few dates - again it's all about timing- we went from talking about those tv shows to watching them together. Now we're living our own amazing race excited about the reality before us.
For Christmas since we started dating, we try to make it home to Maui to spend the holiday with Taylor's family. This Christmas was twice as special because my mom and sister joined us. A couple hours after we landed Taylor picked us up and we headed to one of our favorite beaches. I was dying to get in the water, but Taylor had other plans. Before I knew it, he was on one knee. I said, " right now? here?" obviously saying YES! We're excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you y'all soon!
