Many people stay in Goleta, just a little north of the venue (right by UC Santa Barbara and the SB airport!). Alternatively, you could venture south and stay in Carpinteria. Los Angeles has tons of airport options to choose from only a short drive (or train!) away from Santa Barbara, but Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is definitely the easiest way to go (to nobody's surprise). Get straight to the destination and skip all the hassle of large major airports, and enjoy the convenience of free airport shuttles to your hotel at the Hilton (other hotels may offer this service as well). SBA offers direct flights from many major cities, such as Seattle, Denver, Dallas, etc. And if you you're traveling from a bit further then you can also land at SBA with just a short layover at LAX. Once you're in Santa Barbara, everything is walkable or a short Uber ride away...so skip the drive from LA (though the ocean view aint bad)...and go straight to the party!

If you're trying to make the weekend into a mini-vacay or just arriving a little earlier, it might make more sense to land at a nearby major airport, such as Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Bob Hope Airport (BUR) because you'll have the extra time to enjoy a scenic drive up the iconic California Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Barbara (~1.5hrs but varies significantly depending on time of day due to traffic). There are thousands of flight options to choose from at all hours of the day with many nonstop options offered at a lower cost than flying into a smaller local airport. So roll down the windows and enjoy the oceanbreeze in a rental car or take the Amtrak train (connects straight from Burbank airport to downtown Santa Barbara!) to the "American Riviera!"

We've taken Amtrak many times--a great option for those traveling short distances from other regions of California. Additionally, it's also a great option for those who decide to land at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank as there is a connecting stop right at the airport that will take you straight to the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara, only a few blocks away from the wedding venue. You can enjoy the scenic views of the pacific whilst riding aboard the train with wifi and snacks/beverages/bar on board!
