Yep. That’s what I was (jokingly) snap-chatting my mom and sisters as I watch my boyfriend get out of the car and walk up to some random stranger in a sketchy van. I knew something was up, when ended up 45 minutes west of where he said we would be! So I just sat in the car with my stomach in knots! I was so caught up looking down at my phone, texting my mom and sisters’ group chat to notice that there was an actual hot air balloon basket sticking off the back of the van! Eventually, I got out of the car and the lead pilot got us to start signing the forms to go up into the air balloon. I was so excited, and we were both looking around as the balloon grew, as it filled with air, from 10ft of space to 100ft. Once it was done, Josh and I got ushered over to the front of the balloon and looked in just to see how big they really are. I turn around and Josh is “convieniently” tying his shoe, just the basics... and he pulled out this GORGEOUS ring and asked “Nella, I love you and I want to spend forever with you, will you marry me?” Side note: I always thought when the girls put their hand over their face, it was just a pose... turns out, thats not true, and I actually forgot to move because I was in such shock.. Josh even had to say “Well, do you want to put the ring on or not?!!” ... OBVIOUSLY I said YES! Unfortunately the ring was 3 sizes too small..but to prove my undying love for him... I squeezed that sucker on with everything I had. By the next day, I literally had to get it cut off of my finger because it was turning purple! We went up in the balloon and it was breathtakingly beautiful. Just flying with each other in the air with my new fiancé perfectly matched how I was feeling in that moment. Josh made the whole day so perfect and special. I couldn’t be more grateful for such an amazing man that goes so above and beyond for me. I can’t wait to enjoy all the years of adventures and surprises to come.. and most importantly, GETTING MARRIED!
