We were unable to secure hotel room blocks; however, NYC has a lot of great options at every price point.

If you're thinking about booking an Airbnb, we suggest looking in Hoboken, NJ as a more economical option. Hoboken is right across the Hudson River and a quick 15-min Uber ride to the Skylark.
If you want to stay in Manhattan, we suggest you use Google Maps and filter for 4-star Hotel Class ratings. Price ranges are visible in Google Maps and often include third party pricing for a better rate (don't be afraid of these options).
