On Easter morning 2019 our family plans got canceled (thanks Craig and Lisa!) at the last minute and we decided to run to Wingers to get some lunch after church. I showed up to the restaurant about 10 minutes after my family. When I walked in and sat down at the table my mom and sister immediately said "OMG WE LOVE OUR WAITER! HE LOVES TACOS, MARGARITAS AND HIS FAMILY...YOU SHOULD MARRY HIM!!" After getting to talk to him more that day I gave in to my families advice to leave my number on the receipt...something I have NEVER done and NEVER thought I would do. Two hours later I received a text from the handsome waiter...and my future husband...the rest is history!
On October 26th, 2019, exactly 6 months after our first date I went on a "sister date" to Twigs Bistro in the Village...or so I thought. After ordering our drinks and getting confused at why my sister was taking so long to decide what she wanted to eat she handed me a "sister card" that talked about how much she loves me and loves getting to be a part of my love story. Once I had read it she asked me to walk outside with her. As soon as we walked outside I saw two of my best friends (Will & Michelle) holding a Friends themed sign saying "The One Where Becca Get's Engaged" I immediately stopped in my tracks and looked to find Harley. As I looked down the path from the Village Cinema to the Village fountain I saw it lined with our people all holding other Friends themed signs and umbrellas! My other best friend's (Meghan) sign said "He's her lobster", my sister, brother-in-law and niece's sign said "The One Where Harley Puts a Ring on it", his parents' sign said "The One Where Two Families Come Together" and my parents' sign said "The One Where She Says Yes". At the fountain Harley was in his suit holding a gorgeous bouquet of flowers (thank you Idaho Floral Studio...aka Mom). When I got to him he told me how much he loved me and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him as the fountains behind us started going off. The moment I said yes and he stood up to kiss me, the Friends theme song came on and we started the celebration with our friends and family! We then went to dinner at Wingers for dinner with everyone...the place we had met just over 6 months before! I love our story!
