Brandon and Delaney met on Bumble (a dating app) as many modern romances are wont to do. However, Bumble malfunctioned that day and allowed two people to match who lived 131 miles from each other. Cue Brandon's determination (insanity) to drive four hours round trip on a Saturday to have a date with a girl whose opening line was "Your dog looks cute". This started a full year of long-distance relationship trials, driving back and forth every weekend, and putting miles on their beat-up trucks. Brandon was there during Delaney's chaos of applying to veterinary schools. During her senior year of undergrad, he drove and accompanied her to school interviews in Utah, Colorado, and Kansas. In return, Delaney strived to become the best dog mom he had ever seen in the whole wide world. 2019 saw the graduation of Delaney from Utah State University and Brandon from Idaho State University. Brandon then decided to uproot his life and join her in Logan, Utah as she started her first two years of vet school. The last two years had them moving to Pullman, WA to complete school at Washington State University. All of this while Brandon worked as a firefighting helicopter mechanic for Coulson Aviation, necessitating travel to other states and countries six months out of the year. This meant many missed birthdays and holidays he sacrificed to support their tiny family; a theme he was used to after previously serving four years in the U.S. Navy. By the end of 4th year of vet school, he was ready to hang up the fieldwork and she was ready start her career; both looking to set down roots. They ultimately decided to return to his home state of Idaho and now live in Eagle with their golden retriever Zuko and their trusty labrador Dax. (The ultimate dynamic duo). They are excited to be starting this next chapter and cannot wait to celebrate the day with all of you.
