Maid of Honor
Kaley and Monica marched drum corps together at the Bluecoats. They were inseperable and were a constant giggling mess. Despite living in different states, the two visit each other every year and have a connection unlike anyone else. There is nobody else who could fill the role as Monica's MOH than Kaley Jane.
Best Man
Pop and Neil met in the fall of 2014 at a marching band rehearsal and went on to teach the Blue Knights drum corps every summer after. The two also share a passion for special education which lead to Pop introducing Neil and Monica to their first ever non-band related conversation. Neil looks up to Pop for his compassion and empathy as an educator and is very honored to have Jon Popham standing by his side.
Matron of Honor
Elizabeth and Monica marched drum corps together at The Glassmen. The two of them laughed til they cried and cried til they laughed. When Monica moved to Texas for college at the University of North Texas, Elizabeth took Monica in under her wing in multiple ways. The two have a such a strong, vulnerable, and silly friendship.
Groomsman
Neil met Ebert the summer of 2007 when he was heavily recruited to join Ebert's visual team at Carolina Crown. The two of them became great friends as they traveled the country teaching the next 6 summers together. Neil was fortunate enough to be present for the birth of Ebert's son, Anderson, and is excited to share his wedding day with Andy.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Monica marched drum corps together at the Bluecoats. The two were roommates through college at UT Austin for 3 years. Stephanie and Monica were very good at avoiding responsibilities together by eating fast food, binge watching netflix, and enjoying their favorite city of Austin, TX. Monica's favorite memories in Austin include Stephanie and their friendship is so special to her.
Groomsman
Neil met Matt in 2014 teaching at Rhythm X winds and has worked with him at the Blue Knights every summer since. Matt and Neil also worked together at the same school as paraprofessionals and were roommates in Ohio where Neil learned about the excitement of playoff hockey through Matt's enthusiastic screaming downstairs.
Bridesmaid
Alison and Monica go back to the year 1993 when she asked their parents "Do we have to keep her?" when Monica was brought home from the hospital. Alison has been Monica's #1 supporter in all of her crazy endeavors over the years. After serving as a bridesmaid in her wedding, Monica can't wait for Alison to return the favor.
Groomsman
Damon is Neil's longest lasting friend as this summer marks 20 years of friendship. Damon has always been like a brother and is an equal part of Neil's family. From skiing in Utah, to "rock climbing" in Yosemite, to a surprise visit in Albermale, North Carolina, to stowing away on a bus trip to Vegas, Damon and Neil have been on a lot of adventures together.
Bridesmaid
Monica and Rachel became friends in Middle School Color Guard. The two grew over the years as performers, friends, and sisters in Christ. Rachel and Monica endured some of the hardest times together and know that they will be in each others lives forever. Rachel truly embodies sunshine and is a ray of light in Monica's life.
Groomswoman
Neil met Brittany the summer of 2015 when they taught the Blue Knights drum corps together. Neil can be somewhat shy at times and Brittany became his unofficial life coach over the next few summers and is a major reason why Neil gained the confidence to even talk to Monica.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Monica began their friendship when Monica moved to Seattle. Katie works in Monica's classroom and inspires Monica daily by her love and compassion she has for those around her. Nobody knows Monica's temperment, sanity, or where she put her phone better than Katie. Their love for tacos and friendship is immeasurable.
Groomsman
Landon is Neil's actual little brother (sorry Damon) and is a 7th grader in Murrietta, CA. Landon loves Marvel movies and dogs ALMOST as much as Neil does which is how you know they are related. Landon is becoming a great trumpet player and Neil hopes to get to cheer for him at his marching band competitions some day. Neil is very excited to get to have Landon standing up front with him on this big day.
Flower Girl
Lina is a former student of Monica's. Lina is bright, goofy, and spunky. Lina holds a big piece of Monica's heart and we are so excited for her to spend the day with us.
Ring Bearer
Jayden has been a student of Monica's for 2 years. He is so silly, smart, and a disney lover. Jayden brings daily joy and love into Monica's life. We are so excited for him to spend the day with us.
